概要
Through this course, students will learn some foundational skills to write academic papers in English. We will begin the semester with the discussion about key differences between academic and non-academic writing, and each week we will cover different elements and skills necessary to succeed in class. At the end of the semester, students will take a timed writing exam. Students wishing to retake this course are required to email the instructor before the first class.
目標
Through this course, students will be able to 1) identify foundational elements for effective academic papers, 2) acquire basic techniques to write academic essays, and 3) develop critical thinking skills.
授業外の学習
Students are expected to read assigned materials prior to each session (60 mins) and submit their weekly assignment on time (60 mins). (Total: 120 mins)
