概要
In this course, students will learn how to write a five-paragraph essay of more than 1000 words in academic English. The spring semester will focus on helping students understand the basic principles of essay writing and develop the foundational skills necessary to write diverse kinds of academic essays. The latter part of the course will particularly cover how to organize comparison/contrast essays and cause/effect essays. Details will be announced on the first day of class. * Students wishing to retake this course are required to email the instructor before the first class.
目標
The goal of this course is for students to (1) understand the process and structure of paragraph writing and (2) develop the basic skills to write different kinds of academic essays.

Students are expected to complete reading and/or writing assignments before each class.
