ENGLISH SKILLS A-2【Eｸﾞﾙ-ﾌﾟ】*

概要

* Students wishing to retake this course are required to email the instructor before the first class. This course will build upon the skills introduced in the spring term, through a topic-based and integrated skills approach. Topics may include current events, intercultural issues, education, gender, media, and ethics; these themes will be introduced through readings, news articles, and/or film. Academic speaking skills to be refined in conjunction with these topics include leading discussions, debating, and giving presentations; active learning is thus an essential component of this course (as well as practicing critical thinking skills). Reading (intensive and extensive), writing (summary/reaction papers), and listening skills will be further developed. Students will continue to increase vocabulary.
