概要
This course focuses on providing students with foundational knowledge on the topic of strategic management, covering the analysis of strategic position, strategic choices, and strategy in action. Students will learn about the process of strategy formulation, implementation, and change not only through practical and theoretical frameworks but also through case studies showcasing global perspectives and considering the ethics of strategy. At the end of the course students will present their analyses of selected organisations and provide strategic recommendations.
目標
• Acquire foundational knowledge of strategic management. • Develop a toolkit of frameworks, concepts, and practical examples that can enable participants to make strategic decisions in global and local contexts. • Apply critical thinking to analysing theory and practice of contemporary strategic management. • Develop ability to effectively present and communicate strategic analysis and recommendations.
授業外の学習
The course will be based on active learning, so students are expected to: (1) do the required preparation before class (e.g. a case study reading), (2) attend the classes and actively participate in discussions and exercises, and (3) prepare the final group presentation at the end of the course.
