経営英語(International Business)

概要

As the world continues to evolve, companies and people are taking innovative steps using technology to keep the world’s economy growing. This class is going to look at the current situation and how it relates to International Business. In the world of international business, English has become the primary language for communication. Many companies are international so university students need to be prepared to work in a business environment that uses English. This class will be an introduction to the topic of International Business and its theories, policies, issues, and applications using English.

目標

Students will read, write, and discuss international business issues in class. Case studies, news articles, and presentations will be given. Classes will be held in person with additional materials and exercises online through Moodle and Zoom. It is my goal that by the end of this semester, students will have a better understanding of business trends and issues, the evolving nature of international business, and how to research these topics using English.

授業外の学習

Readings and assignments will relate to current events in international business and case studies on multinational companies. The final paper will involve groups of students creating an international market entry strategy for a company in a new country. Some outside research and assignments connected to this project will also be done by students during the semester.
