概要
Students are expected to conduct economic reasoning and econometric analysis and to write at least 16 pages long paper.
目標
Through writing the bachelor thesis, students will learn ways to write academic articles.
授業外の学習
Need to spend around 30 hours per week to prepare for the meeting.
所要時間: 360minutes(Reading papers 180 minutes, writing thesis 180 minutes)
スケジュール
- Introduction
- Bring your research idea. What are the discussions in articles?
- Brush up your research idea. What do other researchers say in the past articles?
- Start collecting data.
- Show how the observations look like. What is the distribution of them?
- What is your hypothesis to test?
- Can you derive your hypothesis by economic reasoning?
- Build up your econometric model.
- Test your hypothesis. Run your regression.
- Explain the results of your econometric analysis.
- Can you improve the results by adjusting your model?
- Discuss your argument based on the results with authors in the past articles.
- Keep the disucussion.
- Did you find something new successfully? What can we learn from your analysis?
