概要
We learn basics of elementary social statistics in preparation for studying econometrics. This course will cover descriptive statistics, basic probability theory, and introduction to statistical inferences, which will prepare students for learning linear regression analysis (or ordinary least squares, OLS). In this course students acquire statistical analysis skills.
目標
Students will be able to: - understand and clearly explain the basic concepts of probability theory, statistical inferences, and the necessary assumptions for various statistical tests. - correctly interpret results of statistical analysis.

Students are expected to read the assigned part of the textbook before each class and review the course materials after each class.
