High grade students are expected to actively participate in the Moodle discussion forums and Zoom meetings, showing evidence of integrating course concepts and newly acquired knowledge in their work. Successfully meeting weekly course completion deadlines in a timely manner is a condition for gaining course credit. Students who submit plagiarized work will be graded "F".

概要
This basic level course focuses on Economics Majors career skills in English exploring available online tools. Students are expected to participate fully in all moodle-based course learning activities, navigating problem-solving tasks and researching online either in forums or individually. Learning activities include writing career texts, creating resumes, formulating career goals and actively navigating interviews. Students who have taken this course commented "all I need for job hunting" "can promote my career experience" "valuable for me after graduating".
目標
To learn techniques for positive personality analysis in English and maximize individual resource potential. To understand the logical match between company aims and keywords with individual personality. To analyze how industry trends affect personal career choices. To successfully navigate writing personalized resumes in English. To take initiative navigating job interviews/career texts in English. To answer performance based interview questions effectively. To learn techniques to maintain motivation and balance under stress during job-hunting.
授業外の学習
Prepare a personalized English career portfolio including an English resume, possible interview questions, personality assessment of strengths and weaknesses, industry analysis, and so on. This should be updated weekly as the course progresses. Post 100+ word assignments in discussion forums in preparation for career texts. Practice speaking/ posture together with preparing questions and contributions for online Zoom interaction. Review all-English handouts, making a personal connection and reworking individually for deeper understanding. Actively visit Moodle each week.

- Highlighting your strengths and skills together with weaknesses to show grits and growth potential. Application of 4P model to indicate goals.
- Long term career strategy in alignment with company goals. Bi-weekly quiz.
- Understanding PESTEL and how to align your individual goals with trends.
- Using industry trend analysis to further highlight your economics background. Bi-weekly quiz.
- Strengthening and tailoring your resume with performance based assessment. Applying PBI and STAR models to career texts.
- Actively navigating the interview/ working with optimal information in career texts. Bi-weekly quiz.
- Final review exam, available in the moodle during course hours Japan time only.
- Reflection on learning, Affirmations and Motivation during job hunting. Further interview training and application of course learning.
教科書
Since we will be referring to the latest articles and readings no textbooks will be assigned at this point. Material will be assigned in the class moodle from various sources.
