概要
This course is an introduction to environmental planning at local, regional, national and global levels. After explaining the basics of environmental planning, emphasis is placed on watershed environment planning. It is intended to present a total picture of watershed planning so that it covers subjects from water resources, floods to water quality and even waterscape. A particular focus is urban flood risk assessment and management. At the end of the course, students will be familiar with the process of developing an integrative watershed management plan that takes into consideration of various issues and concerns and be able to propose some concrete actions to deal with them.
目標
Goal: To enable students develop a good understanding of why environment planning is needed. To provide information on the principles and objectives of watershed planning; physical description of watersheds; relationships between land use and water management requirements; watershed-based environmental conservation and restoration.
