SEMINAR (INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS) 1

概要

SPSF-FGS students who major in International Relations develop their academic skills to be ready to write their graduation theses. This course is divided into three parts: (1) reading academic journal articles; (2) Student presentations on literature review and their research topics; and (3) Student presentation on their paper to be submitted at the end of this course. In addition, course participants can consider a team project based on classroom discussions and common research interest. As it is a seminar, active engagement is expected. Participants of this course need to take the following SEMINAR (INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS) 2 in the next semester.

目標

By the end of the course, students will - be able to collect and read necessary materials critically, - be able to write and present their research projects, and - be able to discuss with others in a constructive manner.

授業外の学習

Students need to search and read books, journal articles, and other documents outside of class. (120 minutes) They prepare their presentations and comments to their classmates (60 minutes) They write a final report at the end of the semester based on their weekly independent research (60-120 minutes)
