詳細情報
概要
This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the process of forming Korean communities in Japan, the current situation, and issues, from the perspective of global migration. What are the historical, social, cultural, and political issues surrounding Korean residents in Japan, and what are their issues in Japanese society and the world? In this course, we will discuss several issues (historical background, changes in nationality, status of residence, divided nations, communities, living conditions and human rights). At the same time, we will consider the issues we should be aware of in relation to the issues surrounding Korean residents in Japan. Learner-centered approaches will be implemented in this class. Students will be encouraged to take active participation in class activities. In order to promote active participation students will be working in small groups or pairs and assigned weekly writing assignments and asked to give short weekly presentations.
