CONFLICT RESOLUTION B

概要

This course introduces important discussions in the field of conflict resolution, based on the textbooks and further readings. Students are expected to attend each class by reading assigned materials in advance to be ready for participating in in-class discussions and writing reaction papers. They will give a group presentation and write a final paper which analyze a case of conflict and its resolution based on their research interests.

目標

At the end of this course, students will be able to - read books, journal articles, and news reports in the field of conflict resolution, - explain important ideas of conflict and peace processes, and - critically analyze actual conflict and peace processes in the past and present.

授業外の学習

- Students read a chapter of the textbook, journal articles, and further readings each week (90 minutes). - Students review and write a reaction paper after class (30 minutes). -Students prepare group presentations and write a final paper based on their continuous research each week (90 minutes).
