SEMINAR (ASIAN STUDIES F) 2

概要

This seminar will be an effort to study South Asian society from both political and area studies perspective. It will also try to cover the area with the disciplines of social, political and religious dimensions. In this seminar continuing the understanding of the region and the approach of the academic disciplines, it will focus more on issues in the region and then would develop one's own theme and discuss related topics that may lead to develop their thoughts on the graduation thesis as a result. このゼミでは地域研究の視点から主に政治学的分析で南アジア社会の研究をする。また広く,政治・社会・宗教といった分野のテーマでの研究も可能だ。前半に続いて地域全体の理解をしながら地域のさまざまな問題,また学問分野のこと文献(先行研究)を中心に議論し,学ぶ。そこから各自のテーマをより具体的に考えながら,最終的にはゼミ論文,または,卒業論文・専門論文等の成果としてまとめる。

目標

This course intents to see critically the issues of the society, with the perspectives of "regionality" or locality (area studies). Through such discussions and critical approaches students may be able to develop their concerns of how to deal with such issues and contribute to the society. In a practical way this seminar helps the student to develop their thoughts and information to write their graduation paper. 社会のさまざまな問題を批判的に見ること。また,「現場」の観点から見る(地域研究)ことによって新たな視点(批判的)で議論し,問題解決への関心を高めながら最終的によい論文作成ができ,それを他人によりよく伝えることができるようになること。 具体的に各自のより良い卒業論文やゼミ論を書くことができること。

授業外の学習

Everybody is required to prepare before each class in relation to the topic to be presented or discussed in the class. In relation to ones own presentation certain study through interviews and surveys are welcome. (option: it is advised to visit South Asia according to one's capacity during long vacations) ゼミ生の発表とディスカッションに関係する必読文献を中心に事前に準備すること。 テーマによって国内調査(関係者に聞き取り等)を行うこと。 (オープション:場合によって長期休暇を使った南アジア訪問の可能性を考える) 合わせて約40時間の授業時間外学習
