INTERMEDIATE SPANISH 2*

概要

This is the fourth stage in Spanish language learning. Students will continue to learn intermediate level grammar, vocabulary and expressions through tasks focused on developing the ability to communicate. The main grammatical contents covered will be almost all the tenses of the indicative and subjunctive mood. The four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing will be practiced. Students will be able to talk about not only their personal problems but also the social problems, as well as to give advice and express their opinions. The vocabulary needed will be presented, as well as some cultural aspects such as social problems in some Latin American countries. The class will be all in Spanish. .Pair work and group work activities will often be conducted. Learning vocabulary and understanding the grammatical rules are strictly necessary for communication and for passing the course. Active participation is highly expected.

目標

The goal is to acquire intelligent communication, critical thinking, and the appreciation and understanding of the Spanish speaking world, which leads to understanding cultural diversity in general. Through this course students will not only develop their Spanish language skills but also acquire strategies for learning a foreign language so that they can continue learning Spanish as autonomous learners.

授業外の学習

Preparation and review are necessary, but the focus should be on reviewing. Assignments may be given on Moodle, so be sure to check them. A. If preparation is necessary, instructions will be given during class. If instructed, always confirm with the instructor whether it is until the next class or until the class one week later. If there are no instructions for preparation, skim through the material covered in the next class. B. In the review, confirm and memorize the following: 1. Check whether you fully understood the content covered in class, such as newly learned grammar points. If there are any points you need help understanding, make notes so you can ask questions in the next class. 2. Reconfirm and memorize the usage of vocabulary and expressions, whether new or previously learned, that you do not remember. 3. Review the audio material covered in class to understand it without looking at the textbook. 4. Try writing sentences learned in class without referring to the textbook and then check with the textbook. 5. Always complete assignments on Moodle or those given during class by the deadline. 6. Perform other learning tasks as instructed by the instructor.
