概要

A look at the philosophical implications of artificial intelligence. This course will consider the arguments about the possibility of creating artificial intelligence, as well as the metaphysical, ethical and social implications of human interaction with intelligent machines.

目標

Students will formulate and evaluate philosophical positions about human intelligence and artificial intelligence, as well as the implications of the latter. All of this will help them to successfully navigate the coming age of intelligent machines. The course further aims to improve critical reading,thinking and oral communication skills through seminar discussions and writing exercises. Students are not expected to have prior knowledge of philosophy.
