概要
Mathematical and statistical literacy is an essential skill that enables you to understand and make sensible decisions based on the analysis of numerical information. Data and numerical arguments exist not only in all areas of academic inquiry but also in everyday life. This course introduces the basic concepts and tools of mathematics and statistics. The main topics to cover in this course are growth calculation (mathematics) and descriptive and inference statistics and probability theory (statistics).
目標
The goal of this course is that you will be (i) able to apply mathematical and statistical techniques into real life examples, and (ii) familiar with ways to handle data using a statistical software (MS EXCEL).
