JAPANESE 4*【A class】

概要

This is the upper-intermediate course to develop communication skills with more emphasis placed on reading in order to ensure smooth transition from an intermediate level to an advanced level. Four 100-minute classes a week. There are opportunities for students to actively participate in collaborative learning through pair or group work, and to share their thoughts and findings with classmates.

目標

The course aims to develop the intermediate level proficiency and application skills. This class enhances the reading and writing skills by learning a variety of written style expressions and more complex structures with a wide range of authentic materials on Japanese life, culture, and society.

授業外の学習

Students are supposed to prepare for daily quizzes (on vocabulary or on kanji). Students are also strongly urged to read the texts before class to have an overview and be ready to join in discussions. Homework assignments are given every day. Thus, students need to study more than two hours for one class session outside of class.
