JAPANESE 1*【B class】

概要

This course is designed for students with no or little background in Japanese, and aims at developing communication skills in Japanese, integrating four skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The emphasis is put on thorough mastery of basic functional grammar of Japanese through oral practice. Communicative activities that use real life situations are frequently conducted through pair/group work. We will cover Lesson 1 to 12 of Situational Functional Japanese (SFJ). Note: As a language course, "attendance" and "daily preparations & assignments" are very important.

目標

By the end of this course, you are expected to handle various daily conversational situations, and read and write simple texts with hiragana and katakana as well as approximately 180 kanji (Chinese characters) for production and recognition.

授業外の学習

After each class, students are expected to do the following study (120 minutes in total). ・Daily assignments (60 minutes). ・Preparation for kanji and vocabulary quizzes (30 minutes). ・Review the content (15 minutes). ・Preparation for the next lesson (15 minutes).
