概要

This course is designed for real beginners, people with no previous experience learning French. The course aims to help students develop competence for communicating in basic situations. Students learn basic grammar, pronunciation patterns, basic vocabulary and general every-day expressions. Tasks focus on developing the ability to communicate. By providing a balanced introduction of four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), it is expected that students become familiar with the basics for communicating in French language. In-class activities include pair work, group work, and individual work.

目標

Students can develop basic communication skills associated with level A1, by acquiring a basic working knowledge of French language that can be used in simple communication situations in daily life. By the end of the course, students should be able to introduce themselves or introduce others, ask and answer basic questions about people and things, describe things, and explain what they want to do or get by using language in the present tense.

授業外の学習

Do assigned homework, review the grammar and vocabulary learned in class and re-solve the exercises in the textbook. Students are also expected to listen to the sound source repeatedly and to practice reading dialogues.
