概要
Have you ever wondered how societies function? Why do gender roles exist across societies? How are religion, family, and race perceived in different cultures? This course delves into these compelling questions by offering foundational exploration into the fundamental concepts, theories, and methodologies of anthropology within the context of human societies and cultures. Anthropology, as a discipline, aims to holistically study what it means to be human. Covering a vast scope, this field equips students to examine social problems, ponder social questions, and comprehend the complexities of being human on our intricate, globalized, and evolving planet. Through case studies and ethnographic examples, we will critically analyse how cultures shape and influence human behaviour and societal structures.
目標
By the end of this course, students will be able to 1.Develop a nuanced understanding of culture, society, and anthropological study methods. 2. Grasp the foundational history of anthropology and key theoretical frameworks of anthropology. 3. Explore ethical considerations in ethnographic fieldwork and the researcher's positionality. 4. Apply anthropological perspectives to comprehend cultural diversity, societal norms, and global human interactions in contemporary society.
